Homepage Notification

For Homepage panels to be well referenced in search engines such as Google, Bing, etc. a simple panel needs to be included with optimized text. We strongly recommend that you always add a Simple panel as one of your custom blocks on a Homepage.
Adding Homepages & Homepage panels
To create your Homepages:
- Go to Content > Add content > Homepage
- Click on "Add section"
- Adding a title to the section is optional
- To add homepage panels, either it already exists in which case you can call upon it or you can create a new one directly from your Homepage panel.
- You have an additional task to do for the MAIN HOMEPAGE, meaning the page users are when they write the domain name, which is also the one you found by clicking on the logo in the left corner of your site : Create a homepage, like explained before. Then go to Go to Configuration > System > Basic Site settings > Default front page > Write in the field: "/name-of-your-page"
You have the choice between 5 panels
Here is a simple panel
With the panel, highlight important information in the text format. You have the possibility to add longer text with either a background picture, video or a block of color. Simple panel allows for text on the Homepages to be well indexed in search engines.
When using a Boxes panel or a Newsroom panel, you must start with a simple panel.

Simple panel
You can write a teaser of your page under the title of your simple panel.
You can also play with the title effect: small caps, letter effect, letter effect loop, or no effect.
You can choose the background for your simple panel: a photo or a video.
The following colors are available: Main color, Background Color 1, Background Color 2 and Extra-Color.
Here is a column panel
As it's name indicates, Column panels showcase images in a column setting. They are static and allow use of a Call-to-Action block. As with all Homepage panel, we strongly urge you to first use a Simple panel for your content to be well indexed in search engines.
DON'T FORGET: add a Call-to-Action in each of your column, to redirect users to the right part of your website.

Here is a slider panel
The slider panel allows you to use text to highlight information combined with a photo or video background. As it's name indicates, it is presented as a slider. As with all the Homepage panels, we strongly encourage you to use this panel combined with the Simple panel with condensed key words for the search engines.

Here is a boxes panel
When using a Boxes panel, you must start with a Simple panel. Boxes panel allow you to showcase dynamic or static content.

Newsroom panels allow you to showcase dynamic content. When using a Newsroom panel, you must start with a simple panel.
Here is a showcase panel
A showcase panel is made up of custom blocks. They can either take up the widht on the whole screen, have a 2/3 and 1/3 ratio or be separated in 3 columns.
